Southeastern Health Services specializes in helping the elderly and their families maximize independence, safety and quality of life. We are experts in managing a patient’s care in the home, whether it is following a stay at the hospital or when recovering from an illness or injury or when needing assistance with activities of daily living. SEHS has the knowledge and capability to provide a broad range of services.

Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance plans cover medically necessary home health care. If you meet certain conditions, these programs cover part-time skilled nursing care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, home health aide services, medical social services, and medical supplies. We can assist in determining whether Medicare, Medicaid or insurance will cover your needs. We will work with your physician to ensure all your needs are met and to obtain the necessary authorizations from your insurance company and physician. A SEHS caregiver will be assigned to coordinate your care at home. Your caregiver will make sure you receive the specialized help you need.

If you are looking for assistance with activities of daily living (i.e. bathing, dressing, toileting, housekeeping) and do not have a "skilled" medical need, or, if you have an aging family member and don't have the time you feel they deserve, help is just a phone call away. SEHS provides a wide variety of private in-home services that allow people to obtain the care they need in extended blocks of time. These personally designed services are for people who are not eligible for home health services traditionally covered by Medicare, Medicaid or health insurance policies, and for people who want to supplement the services covered by health insurance policies. Services are typically paid for privately by individuals or family members or occasionally through their insurance company. Although Medicare and Medicaid do not pay for these services, long-term care insurance often will. Additionally, coverage may be available through the Veterans Administration or County AAA programs. Please contact us to find out more information regarding these and other coverage options.

For seniors who have normal mobility and are independent in personal care SEHS also offers companionship services. Companions can turn loneliness into hours of pleasant conversation and activities. Companions do neighborly tasks like giving you safe transportation to appointments and shopping, run errands, cooking and light housekeeping.
